Roaring Brook also provides close access to the Avalanche Field trailhead for Martin Ponds, the Katahdin Lake day use shelter with day use canoes and the Katahdin Lake Wilderness Camps.

As with cabin 6, you have a front porch looking over the open field along with a deck looking over the lake.
